(1) Government of Nepal, Provincial Government at the local level or any person or association, organization formed in accordance with prevailing law shall establish a care center or day service center or both centers at any place in the State of Nepal. Can install and operate.
(2) In order to establish and operate a care center or day care center as per sub-section (1), approval from the designated authority shall be obtained after completion of the prescribed infrastructure.
(3) Care centers or day care centers operating in the private or non-governmental sector at the time of commencement of this Act shall obtain approval as prescribed from the authority under sub-section (2) within six months from the date of commencement of this Act.
(4) Senior citizens, disabled senior citizens, helpless senior citizens and senior citizens who have been ordered by the court to be placed in the care center in accordance with sub-section (2) of section 12 can be kept in the care center.
(5) If a senior citizen wishes to live in a care center or day service center at his own expense, such center shall accommodate such senior citizen according to its capacity.
(6) If there is a situation where a senior citizen who needs to be nurtured and cared for by himself cannot be kept with him, the family member can keep such a senior citizen in a care center. If they want to keep it like that, the related care center can keep such senior citizen by taking the expenses from such member.
(7) According to sub-section (4), (5) or (6) senior citizens residing in care centers or day care centers should be arranged by the concerned care centers or day care centers to engage in religious, social, recreational or economic activities according to their interests and to arrange for them to live in a family environment. will fall.
(8) The standards and other arrangements related to the operation of the care center or day service center shall be as prescribed.
